This is a four (4) session, INTERMEDIATE, progressive hands-on class to learn how-to-do graphic design using the ubiquitous Microsoft PowerPoint® graphics program. Registration is required. Please register in the left-hand column. Space is limited to 10.
Note: Friday, March 4 has also been reserved for any who need more time to finish their projects.
Don’t do “really bad PowerPointÒ”! — Express your artistic self with graphic design using PowerPoint! Learn how to execute graphic design projects and break-free from the templates of boring design. Learn shapes, colors/styles, insert pictures, sounds & videos to create your own slide shows. PowerPoint® is NOT only for presentations. It can be used for brochures, flyers, forms, and print & digital advertisements to promote & support your organization.
Additionally, it can be used to create unique invitations, flyers, notices, greeting cards, share family & vacations on social media, hobbies, clubs, HOAs, …as well as presentations!
Each week you will apply the previous week’s skills and add additional features & techniques: image manipulation–pictures–sound–video. By the end of the class you will have created your own slide show with animations, transitions, music, photos and videos. Release your creative self.
Each class is 2 hours long — Bring a USB memory device to save your designs so you can add to them each week..
Familiarly with MS/Word® or MS Excel® is helpful but not necessary. Knowledge of basic computer usage required.
Student comment: “I have enjoyed your professional teaching on PowerPoint as it has been a long time since I have utilized my limited graphic skills.”
