    Excel Basics Class Description

    Learn:

    How to build a spreadsheet from scratch
    How to navigate Excel and your spreadsheet
    How to copy data from your internet browser
    Basic formulas
    Basic formatting
    Basic Printing

    Advanced topics not included in this course:

    Creating charts
    Using PivotTables for data analysis
    Using the IF, SWITCH, VLOOKUP and other advanced functions
    Naming data ranges
    Cross-worksheet formulas
    Using conditional formatting
    Why it's troublesome to put more than one piece of information in a cell

    Cell merge and un-merge
    How to Password Protect the workbook
    Prerequisite Skills and Tools:

    You need to:

    Bring your own laptop (not a tablet or phone) and pointing device
    Be comfortable using a keyboard and mouse, touchpad, or trackball to navigate menus, select and move objects
    Know how to create and save files to your laptop
    Have the desktop version of Excel installed. It is usually included with the Microsoft Office 365 Suite for home or work.
